Capital Allowances Online Ltd

Capital Allowances Online Ltd has been set up within the DPC Group to assist business owners to specifically obtain current and retrospective Capital Allowances claims in order to  obtain repayments of tax.

Q: Hasn’t my accountant claimed everything available?
A: Most business owners assume their accountant has already dealt with the required claim for Capital Allowances and in the majority of cases the exercise will have been done…but not to the full potential, so in our experience there is usually a large claim that can be made

Q: How does a tax repayment arise?
A: The repayment of tax arises from the fact that businesses can claim tax relief against trading profits for expenditure on plant and machinery. Everyone knows this includes the cost of equipment, but only specialised knowledge recognises that it also incluses a substantial part of the property – and is usually much more than people realise.

At Capital Allowances Online Ltd we have identified that those businesses likely to be overpaying tax include:

  • Owning their premises – whether traded from, or let to other businesses
  • With premises that are new or have been recently refurbished/converted
  • Who are now profitable or will be soon
  • Who use their premises for the following businesses
    • Hotels or similar
    • Caravan Sites
    • Nursing / rest homes
    • Factories and manufacturing
    • Leisure facilities
    • Filling stations and garages
    • Workshops and warehouses
    • Depots and haulage yards
    • Transport facilities (road/rail/sea/air)
    • Professional offices
    • Shops / showrooms
    • Refrigerated storage
    • Garden centres

This example below is not unusual.  Most individual claims are worked on in the tens of thousands of pounds.

“A Staffordshire care home had been built up over a period of years to a value in the books of 1.1m and our process established a capital allowances entitlement.

We were able to trace and prove an outstanding claim of £242,000 that was subsequently agreed by the Inland Revenue”
