Kickstart Scheme launches in November

The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has launched the Kickstart Scheme, designed to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

Eat Out to Help Out – Look for the Logo

Diners who eat-in will benefit from a 50% discount, up to a maximum of £10 per person, on food and non-alcoholic drinks, any Monday to Wednesday in August. No voucher is required and diners can take advantage of the offer as many times as they like during August.

Self Employment Income Support Scheme FINAL CALL

Businesses eligible for the first Self Employment grant must make their claim by Monday 13th July 2020. At the end of May the government announced that the scheme would be extended, with a second and final payment being made in August 2020.

Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme Changes

From 1 July 2020, Businesses will have the flexibility to bring previously furloughed employees back to work part-time – with the government continuing to pay 80% of wages for any of their normal hours they do not work up until the end of August.

Chancellor Extends Furlough Scheme Until October

The Government stated as we reopen the economy, we need to support people to get back to work. From the start of August, furloughed workers will be able to return to work part-time with employers being asked to pay a percentage towards the salaries of their furloughed staff.
