Extension Of The Universal Credit – Supporting The Lowest Paid

The Universal Credit uplift of £20 per week will continue for a further six months. Working Tax Credit claimants also will be provided with equivalent support for the next six months.

The Chancellor also confirmed the Government’s commitment to end low pay, increasing the National Living Wage to £8.91 per hour from April.
