More than £2,500 has been raised by female entrepreneurs and local business leaders as part of a charity fashion show in aid of a much-loved children’s hospice.
Over 80 local business women from in and around Stoke-on-Trent attended the event which was organised by NatWest and DPC Chartered Accountants in aid of the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.
Donna Louise Children’s Hospice is a Staffordshire-based charity supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families. The event was held on Thursday, November 9 at Sandon Hall.
Nicky Birks, Partnership Development Manager, Donna Louise Hospice, said: “What an amazing evening myself and my colleagues had at the Women in Business Fashion Show on Thursday evening. The venue was stunning and the whole event was fantastically organised, well thought out and a tremendous success. The difference that the money raised on the evening will make such a difference to the lives of the children and families here at the Donna Louise. Thank you once again for all your continued support.”
Gemma Bourne, Business Growth Enabler at NatWest, said: “It was a fantastic evening and it’s great to be able to support so many local female entrepreneurs. These events provide the opportunity for women in business to connect and grow their business, and by collaborating with DPC Chartered Accountants, we are able to enhance the support we can offer. Raising over £2,000 for The Donna Louise Hospice was an amazing effort and we thank all those who attended for their generosity.”
Michelle Coates, Associate Director at DPC, added: “It was delightful to have so many women in business attend the event.
